Buzzer

A buzzer turns electrical energy into a buzz or beep. Some make their own tone from a DC supply; others need a changing signal.

Check which type you have and its voltage rating. Some buzzers also need the correct polarity.

At the bakery, a buzzer announces that the biscuits are ready. Sparkie is usually first in line.
